COVID-19 updates: Every state and territory’s coronavirus numbers in one place

Here’s a quick wrap of the COVID statistics from each Australian jurisdiction.

• Victoria — 26 deaths, 245 cases in hospital
• NSW — two deaths, 1,000 cases in hospital
• Tasmania — no deaths, 14 cases in hospital 

Victoria

There were 26 deaths recorded today. 

There are 245 COVID cases in hospital, with 28 of those in intensive care.

Seven people are on ventilators. 

We thank everyone who got vaccinated and tested yesterday.

Our thoughts are with those in hospital, and the families of people who have lost their lives.

NSW

The state has recorded two more deaths. 

There are 1,000 COVID cases in hospital, with 42 of those in intensive care.

In the 24-hour reporting period to 4pm yesterday:

– 95.8% of people aged 16+ have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine

Tasmania

There are four COVID-19 patients in intensive care in Tasmania, up from three yesterday, and 937 new cases in the latest reporting period.

There are no new deaths.

Fourteen people with COVID-19 are in hospital, with 10 of those patients being treated specifically for the virus, up from yesterday.

Active cases in the state are now up to 5,432.
